Time for new tires?

So I was out taking pictures on the mining roads east of town on Sunday and got myself into a bit of a Fathers Day pickle... I was a good 10 miles out in the hills at 7pm when I saw this mud hole and thought "I can make that". After 2 hours of trying to dig out the Nissan with an ice scraper, I decided I needed a rescue. I called my coworker James and he came to my aid, like a gallant superhero, and pulled me out with his real off-road vehicle, a Toyota.

You know it's summer when Jared's pictures turn from landscape to wildlife...

Everything is going well up here except the gas prices. Healy has a bit of a micro-economy, so we get to pay $4.90/gal. I've started to pretend I don't see that "Use premium fuel" sticker under my gas cap. Oops! I try not to complain too much though, it's still cheaper than what I paid to drive through Canada in February '07.
